31, 2007, a panel of participants described their personal experiences
with clinical research. Below are the stories of two of the panelists,
Becky Teel and Jean Burns. |

Lymphocytic Leukemia, Becky Teel made a decision that would change
their lives forever. Teel opted to enroll her son in an experimental study
that would pit his illness against the same powerful drugs as conventional

all
If you' ve ever volunteered for
a clinical trial, you've probably encountered a bewildering - even
overwhelming - array of online resources. More than 1,500 organizations,
including private sector research sponsors, investigative sites,
general and health information publishers, and disease-specific
groups now list clinical trials on the internet. And the number
