Sam Entwisle

Senior Medical Writer

I received my BS in Biochemistry from the University of Maine, and my PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington. During my doctoral research I studied a type of fat in our body called brown fat, and how it might hold the key to new treatments for type-2 diabetes. I have always valued the opportunity to engage with members of the public about how research connects to health. At CISCRP I work with a fantastic team developing plain-language resources about clinical trials. It is an honor to work at the cutting edge of medical discovery while staying grounded through our connections to patients and trial participants.
