Meet the Panel
Cassandra Harris, MS, MCHES
Mrs. Harris has over 30 years’ experience in planning community health education and outreach programs. She has worked for voluntary health organizations, health departments, hospitals, health maintenance organizations, Howard University Cancer Center, and the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer information Service in the promotion of programs aimed at reducing the impact preventable diseases including cancer. She has implemented programs at worksites, schools, churches, community centers and health settings. Mrs. Harris is currently a program director for Community Outreach and Engagement at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Health Disparities Research, where she is responsible for collaborating with health professionals and community partners to reduce cancer health disparities.
